This Privacy policy forms the second part of our agreement with you and should be read with the Terms and Conditions, which form the first part. Any changes to the Privacy Policy or the Terms and Conditions will be notified to members and posted on the website.
We assure all users of the meetafamily service, that we will not divulge any private information (such as names and postal addresses) to third parties, without a specific legal document.
The only personal information meetafamily will release is the email address of each family, so that they can get in touch with each other when they have paid our small meeting request charge (if you do not wish to use your usual email address for meetafamily, it is easy and free to obtain a different one for the purpose).
Both families must wish to meet, before the email addresses are divulged. We will not release an email address to just one family.
The reason we take postal address details as well as email addresses, is to make credit card fraud less likely when meetafamily services are paid for.
Meetafamily will only accept payment by credit or debit card.
When a member pays meetafamily to contact another family on their behalf, their credit or debit card details are not routed, displayed or saved on any meetafamily equipment. All payment details are automatically taken by an encrypted facility at WorldPay.
We will not send unsolicited emails (spam). The only messages that we will send to our members, will be those that are necessary to perform the meetafamily service, plus news of changes, improvements to, or other matters concerning meetafamily.
We do not currently use website "cookies". If we ever do, it would probably be to facilitate automatic log-in for a message board.
Meetafamily may gather non-personal information (ie. of a purely statistical kind), from data submitted by member families through the website - for instance to show which town in any given country has the most people interested in any particular leisure pursuit.
